Tuesday, December 9th – Parsberg
This morning we have a pleasant journey through the Czech countryside. Arrive in Regensburg in time for lunch and a walking tour with our local guide.  This is Germany’s largest medieval city and contains more than 1,200 historical buildings. The old stone bridge dates to 1146 and is still used to cross the Danube.  Our Bavarian style hotel waits for us at the foot of Parsberg Castle.  Hotel Hirschen.  Meals(B, D) 

Wednesday, December 10th – Rothenburg
A short drive takes us to Nürnberg where all of the sights and architectural treasures, as well as the delectable Nürnberger sausages, await us.  You will have plenty of time to explore Nürnberg's famous Christkindlesmarkt -- the largest and grandest of them all!  Discover why this city is the world's toy capital.  Be sure to try the holiday Gingerbread, as this is where it originated.  Tonight's historic hotel was built in 1264!  Romantik Hotel Markusturm.  Meals(B, D) 

Thursday, December 11th – Rothenburg
Renate, our local guide will take us on a walking tour through the medieval cobbled streets of Rothenburg with its high gabled houses and town gates.  The remainder of the day is free to visit the museums and explore the Christmas Market.  Enjoy carol singing this evening in front of the town hall.  Romantik Hotel Markusturm.  Meals(B, D)

Friday, December 12th – Heidelberg
Afternoon drive along the Neckar River valley with its gingerbread villages and castle dotted countryside.  We'll stop in the small town of Bad Wimpfen to visit the local market and allow time to enjoy lunch in a small Gasthaus.  Europaische Hof Europa Hotel.  Meals(B, L) 

Saturday, December 13th – Mainz
Free time this morning to explore Heidelberg.  Visit the museums, 14th century University and markets.  Afternoon walking tour of Mainz including the famous Gutenberg Museum that honors the printing pioneer Johanne Gutenberg.  He built the first printing press in Mainz in 14C.  The 1,000 year old St. Martin’s Cathedral is an idyllic backdrop for the popular St. Nicholas Market.  Tonight we celebrate our last evening together with a special farewell dinner featuring the regional delicacies.  Mainz Hilton.  Meals(B, D) 

Sunday, December 14th  – return to USA
Morning transfer to the Frankfurt airport.  Our adventure comes to a close as you jet back to North America, arriving home the same day.  Meals (B)

RESERVATIONS:  Notify us that you wish to join the tour.  Your space will be reserved and a sign-up packet will be forwarded with registration form, invoice for deposit and optional insurance application.  Upon receipt of your deposit, another information packet will be forwarded with final confirmation of your reservation and details to help prepare for the tour.  Full and final payment is due 75 days prior to departure.

EXTRA NIGHTS:  Special rates are available at the hotels used at the start and finish of the tours.  If you wish to arrive a day early or extend your return by a day or two, the rate of $285 per double room ($245 single) will apply at the hotels in Frankfurt, Dresden and Prague -- $220 per double room ($195 single) in Mainz.  Airport to hotel transfers, a buffet breakfast, taxes and service are included. Additional nights are confirmed on a space-available basis.  Transfers are not provided for those extending at the end of a trip.

TOUR COMBINATION:  Those guests joining both the November 28 and December 6th trips, will receive transportation from Dresden to Prague and hotel accommodations on Saturday, Dec. 6th at the special rate of $140, per person double ($240, single).  Those combining the Dec. 6th and Dec. 12th tours will receive $135 per person ($220 single) price reduction.
